Eastern Oregon University’s 2013 Production Schedule
THE SECRET GARDEN
Book and Lyrics by Marsha Norman
Music by Lucy Simon
MAY 15—18
McKENZIE THEATRE
DIRECTED BY KENN WHEELER
This story is set in the early years of the 20th century. Mary Lennox, a young English girl born and raised in the British Raj, is orphaned by a cholera outbreak when she is eleven years old. She is sent far away from her home in India to Yorkshire, England, to live with relatives whom she has never met. Her own personality blossoms as she and a young gardener bring new life to a neglected garden, as well as to her sickly cousin and uncle. With music by Lucy Simon and book and lyrics by Marsha Norman, this delightful musical brings Frances Hodgson Burnett’s classic children’s novel to life and is sure to be a wonderful evening for the entire family.
THE YELLOW BOAT
By David Saar
JUNE 6, 7 & 8
SCHWARZ THEATRE
DIRECTED BY AUDRA HUGHES
THE YELLOW BOAT is based on the true story of David and Sonja Saar’s son, Benjamin, who was born with congenital hemophilia, and died in 1987 at the age of 8 of AIDS related complications. A uniquely gifted visual artist, Benjamin’s buoyant imagination transformed his physical and emotional pain into a blaze of colors and shapes in his fanciful drawings and paintings. The story of THE YELLOW BOAT is a glorious affirmation of a child’s life, and the strength and courage of all children. Recommended for children of age 8 and older, parents, families and adults.

Is Antigone still scheduled as a production? I ask because the link to this production from the main Theatre page is broken. Thanks.
