Spokane, Wash. – The Eastern Oregon University Women’s basketball team lost their exhibition game this afternoon to Gonzaga University 48-90.
Gonzaga University women’s basketball team is coming off another successful season reaching the NCAA Tournament for the fourth time in a row, making it to the round sixteen.
Early on, the Mountaineers stuck with the Zags, 7-13 behind a Brook Randall 3 pointer with 15:05 left to play. Midway through the first half the Zags extended the lead to 20.
At half, Eastern was led by Brook Randall with 9 points, as the Mountaineers went into the locker room down 29-55.
In the second half Gonzaga went on a 16-2 run and a 71-31 lead.
14 out of the 15 Zags players scored in the 42-point victory.
Randall led EOU with14 points and 2 assists. TinaMiller added 12 points and 2 assists, shooting 5-5 from the field.
The Zags were led by Haiden Palmers with 16 points and 6 steals.
Women’s Basketball will play again next weekend, Nov. 9th & 10th in Spokane, Wash. in the Cascade – Frontier Red Lion Challenge hosted at Spokane Falls Community College. Friday at 2 p.m., they will take on Montana Tech. University. Saturday at 8 p.m. they will play Carroll College.
