All you can eat pizza, cheap beer and a stellar line-up of local musicians kicked off the Modern Warfare Release Party at Primos Pizza and GameStop on Monday Nov. 7.

La Grande’s Sons of Guns and Boise’s Bukkit opened the night with liquid vocals and screaming guitar.  The main show, Stealing Solace a hard rock cover band from La Grande, was a mixture of familiar riffs and lyrics with their own unique touch.

The energy at Primos was palpable as the concert started, and the atmosphere only got more exciting as the night progressed.

Sons of Guns, a La Grande music scene staple, just released a new album and started the night off with a bang.

When Stealing Solace took the stage, the crowd erupted and they began playing their unique blend of cover songs.

Stealing Solace members who played were:  vocalist Robert Minarich, guitarist Marcus Case, drummer Jordan Miles, and bassist Jacob Culver

Minarich said, “the crowd tonight has been great, the energy level is good and it’s fun to be out here just playing and having a good time.”

When asked where one could listen to their next concert, he replied that the band was “undecided” as to their next performance venue.

When all was said and done, it was far and away the best three dollars that I have spent in a long, long time.

~When this article was originally published Kyle Swartz was listed as being the drummer for the band, since then Jordan Miles has taken over and did in fact play at the Modern Warfare release party.  The Voice staff apologizes for the confusion.~
